Richmond, VA — May 25, 2026 — Timmons Group is pleased to announce that Shannon Hayes, Chief Human Resources Officer, has been selected as a recipient of the 2026 Virginia C-Suite Award, presented by Virginia Business.

The Virginia C-Suite Award recognizes top corporate executives who demonstrate outstanding leadership, integrity, values, vision, and commitment to excellence, while making a meaningful impact on their organizations and communities.

Hayes serves as Chief Human Resources Officer for Timmons Group, an ENR Top 500 design firm with more than 1,100 employees nationwide. She provides enterprise-wide leadership for human resources, administration, and facilities, playing a central role in shaping the firm’s culture, workforce strategy, and long-term growth.

“Shannon has been a driving force behind the strength of our workforce, both within Timmons Group and across the Commonwealth of Virginia,” said Brian Bortell, President & CEO of Timmons Group. “Throughout her tenure, Shannon’s level of commitment has been integral to the firm’s strategic direction and long-term success, and she serves in many roles to employees at all levels, including thought partner, mentor, and strategist.”

Throughout her more than 20-year tenure, Hayes has helped build and sustain a high-performing, values-driven organization. She has led strategic workforce initiatives, strengthened partnerships with leading universities, and championed programs that support employee development, engagement, and long-term career growth.

“Shannon brings a rare combination of professionalism, empathy, and accountability to leadership,” said Tim Asimos, Chief Marketing Officer of Timmons Group. “She cares deeply about people, but she also sets a high standard and consistently delivers.”

In addition to her HR leadership, Hayes has taken on enterprise-level responsibilities that extend beyond her functional role, contributing to operational strategy, facilities development, and firmwide initiatives that support continued growth and performance.

“Like any effective C-Suite leader, she does not confine herself to a lane,” said Vince Doherty, Chief Financial Officer of Timmons Group. “Instead, Shannon leans in where the organization needs her most.”

Hayes will be recognized at the Virginia C-Suite Awards celebration on June 4, 2026, at The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond.
