Two big grants for Shannon Hill Business Park

The state Commonwealth Transportation Board approved a $787,223 grant at their June 23 meeting to pay for the main entrance and roadway into the property, located near Exit 148 on Interstate 64. The funds will also be used to pave a five-foot-wide shoulder on each side of Shannon Hill Road between the interstate and the business park, and to widen travel lanes to 12 feet. In addition, the roadway will get full-depth pavement.
