Cavalier Senior Apartments is an affordable senior living community with 80 units. The community consists of one and two-bedroom units, in addition to a community space with a meeting area, a computer room, an arts and crafts room, an exercise room, a laundry facility, a gazebo, and raised garden beds. The apartments also provide education, social, and wellness programs.
The facility is Earthcraft Platinum Certified and was built using low-income housing tax credits administered by the Virginia Housing and Development Authority.
Timmons Group provided survey, geotech, phase 1 environmental site assessment, wetland delineation, site plans, Cavalier road design, stormwater management, and a landscape and irrigation plan.
The community also features a food pantry through the partnership of local food banks who provide dry goods, fresh produce, meats, and vegetables.
