Timmons Group’s 2025 Year in Review: Projects, Awards, and People

With 2026 right around the corner, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a year of meaningful growth and progress. In 2025, Timmons Group expanded into new markets, continued to grow our service offerings, and worked on a wide range of impactful projects across the regions we serve. All in all, 2025 gave us a lot to celebrate.

Firm Highlights

This Spring, Timmons Group moved to our new headquarters at the Springline at District 60 development in Chesterfield County, just outside of Richmond. This new Class A office building includes a solar project completed in collaboration with Dominion Energy, helping our offices achieve net zero energy consumption.

Our Springline Office was also recently recognized with the ABC Excellence in Construction Award of Merit in the Commercial category.

Timmons Group expanded its footprint with the opening of new offices in Charleston, South Carolina, and Roanoke, Virginia, strengthening our ability to serve clients across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.

 

For more than 30 years, Timmons Group has ranked on the Top 500 Design Firms by Engineering News-Record (ENR). This year, we ranked #125, moving up 10 spots from 2024.

Project Achievements

Feed More Headquarters earned multiple honors in 2025, including:

  • Historic Richmond Golden Hammer Award for Best New Construction
  • ABC Excellence in Construction Overall Project of the Year and Award of Honor in the Commercial category
  • GRACRE Community Impact Award
  • Richmond Real Estate Group (RREG) Impact Award

Taylor Farm Park was honored with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) Award for Innovation in Park Design and the Virginia ASLA Award of Excellence in Integrating Nature-Based Play in the Park and Playground.

Albemarle Campus Club in Albemarle County, Virginia, was recognized with an ENR MidAtlantic Regional Best Project award in the office/retail/mixed-use category.

People Accomplishments

Joe Hines, PE, MBA, was honored with the 2025 Distinguished Alumnus Award by Lead Virginia, inducted into the Southern Economic Development Hall of Fame as one of the “People Who Built the South” by Southern Business & Development, and named to Virginia Business 100 People to Meet in 2026.

Serving as Sr. Principal and Director of Economic Development, Joe leads our nationally recognized Site Selection Practice, helping states, regions, localities, and private partners to identify and prepare sites and infrastructure for future investments and job creation.

Anna Settlemeyer was named WTS Central Virginia Member of the Year.

Anna is a project engineer on our Richmond transportation team, specializing in roadway corridor modeling using AutoCAD Civil 3D and roundabout design. This well-deserved recognition highlights her contributions to WTS and the transportation industry in her role as the Chapter’s scholarship chair.
