Meet the Timmons Group Recruitment Team!

It’s no secret that the Timmons Group team is quickly growing. Over the last year, we’ve added 215 full-time new hires to our crew. So, who are the people working behind the scenes that we can attribute this growth to anyway? The Timmons Group recruitment team, that’s who! These folks serve as a key point between management and potential new employees, shaping the firm’s culture and shared success. They are people-oriented and communications extraordinaires. Now it’s time to meet the team!

Courtnei Fleming

Meet Courtnei Fleming. Courtnei began her career at Timmons Group two years ago, and within eight months, she transitioned from Administrative Assistant to her current role in Human Resources. Her passion is making sure individuals have a fulfilling work experience, whether they’re fresh out of school or changing career paths.

Courtnei’s favorite thing about recruiting is learning about peoples’ journeys in the corporate world and what led them to Timmons Group. “Our company’s reputation proceeds us well, and the culture here makes it so easy to share with new folks, which is why I love being a part of the TG team,” she says.

In her free time, Courtnei can be found hanging with friends and family, obsessing over her niece and nephews, attending concerts, traveling, exploring new cities, or having her favorite glass of wine at NAPA Kitchen.

Courtnei supports our Land Surveying, CMT/Geotechnical, Renewables, and Environmental teams and assists with event coordination and software management.

Dalton Gormus

Meet Dalton Gormus. Dalton is an experienced communications professional who has made the transition to human resources. Her goal? To help foster strong relationships while supporting candidates during the interview process and new hires beginning their journey at Timmons Group. Dalton is currently enrolled at the University of Richmond pursuing her master’s degree in Human Resources Management and will be graduating in May 2023.

“I enjoy working with my team because we all have such diverse backgrounds and bring a lot to the table. I’m not only learning from candidates I talk to but also from my teammates. We get along so well, and I really do enjoy coming to work every day because of the people I work with,” she said.

Dalton enjoys making pottery, walking her dogs around the farmers market, spending time with her friends at the local breweries, and watching Gilmore Girls.

Dalton manages the recruitment process for our Geospatial Technology, Landscape Architecture, Environmental, and North Carolina Land Development teams.

Katie Hundley

Meet Katie Hundley. After graduating college in 2005, Katie began her career in Human Resources at Timmons Group. In 2012, Katie decided to depart from the firm to expand on her experience and test out the waters of the corporate world. Ten years later, she rejoined the Timmons Group team and has been with the firm for a year now. With over 17 years of experience in this field, Katie has touched many different aspects of the Human Resources department.

Katie says her favorite part about recruiting is “being that first voice, first introduction, and first impression of Timmons Group. I’m given the chance to put a candidate at ease and represent Timmons Group to the best of my ability.”

In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending time with her daughter Berkley who is almost ten years old, and her husband Matt on their family farm. She says going for walks and being outdoors in the fresh air is her happy place. You can usually find her at her daughter’s VSGA golf tournaments, riding horses at their house, reading on their patio, or riding bikes as a family.

Katie works with our Infrastructure, Accounting, Electrical, and Marketing groups.

Courtney Cooper

Meet Courtney Cooper. Courtney is an experienced HR professional who has been with the firm for over seven years and currently serves as the Talent Acquisition Manager. She enjoys helping our hiring managers expand their teams by recruiting amazing people.

“My favorite thing about my team is that we are all working together toward a common goal,” Courtney said.

When Courtney’s not working with her team, you can find her spending time with her two daughters, gardening, or watching her favorite show, Seinfeld, with her pup Little Jerry.

Courtney leads our recruitment team, coordinates with interns, and supports the growth of our Land Development teams.
