Randy is a professional Land Surveyor, licensed in multiple states, with more than three decades of experience in the profession. He has extensive experience performing and managing all land surveying activities, including staffing and quality control. His quality control responsibilities include ensuring best practices are followed and that projects meet minimum technical standards, municipal ordinances and requirements, and ALTA/NSPS compliance (when applicable). Randy also has extensive experience with survey standards and methodologies for route surveying and transportation projects at the municipal, state (VDOT and NCDOT), and federal levels.
Randy has a passion for teaching and mentoring those who are interested in the profession. When he isn’t working at Timmons, he teaches Autodesk Civil 3D for Surveyors at Brightpoint and Laurel Ridge Community Colleges. His class is the only one of its kind offered in the Virginia Community College System.
Randy lives in Hanover County with his daughter. He enjoys hobbyist board games, iRacing and PC gaming. Randy also enjoys dining and shopping in Carytown, the Fan and Colonial Williamsburg.
