Jon Murray is a Senior Project Manager in the private land development sector. Jon has over 15 years of experience working on a wide variety of land development projects in Virginia, including large master-planned single-family residential communities, multifamily, urban infill & redevelopment, and commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. Additionally, Jon is experienced with working on new construction and rehabilitation projects using Virginia Housing tax-exempt bonds and Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), and the associated additional complexity and MDCR requirements.

Jon has worked on both private and public projects all over the state but has extensive experience and relationships in key Virginia localities like the City of Richmond, Henrico, Hanover, and Chesterfield. His skills cover the entire project scope, from initial site due diligence and rezoning to concept planning and density studies, preliminary subdivision plats, erosion and sediment control plans, grading and drainage, stormwater management, subdivision record plats, and assistance working through the associated bonds, permitting, and development agreements. Jon often will continue providing construction administration services after projects are approved assisting owners and developers over a project’s full lifespan.

Residing in Chesterfield County, Jon enjoys live music, craft beer, mountain biking, road cycling, hiking, camping, climbing, skiing, and all things outdoors when he’s not navigating the intricacies of land development projects.

Where did you grow up? About 15 miles from my current home in Chesterfield County, Virginia
What was your first job? I worked at a wholesale greenhouse called Stone Forest Orchids through most of high school (ironically, when I first interviewed at Timmons I found out my new boss was close friends with my old boss at the greenhouse and he had checked up on me)
What’s your favorite restaurant? That’s a tough one…Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant, El Pope Latin American Cuisine, or Saheb Indian Bistro
What would your last meal be? The Al Pastor Torta from El Pope
