Overview
The County of Stafford, with its actively growing community of constituents contracted with Timmons Group to provide civil site design, geotechnical, landscape architecture, stormwater management, environmental site assessments, wetland delineation and permitting, and construction administration for this 50 acre park. The Park at Embrey Mill includes an indoor recreational facility with competition swimming pools in addition to 12 outdoor lighted rectangular fields for youth soccer, lacrosse, and field hockey. Of the 12 fields, four are competition turf fields.
This park is located in the heart of a residential community under the same name and Stafford County hopes to promote both athletic activities to it’s residents with the construction of this park. With the incorporation of competition swimming pools and fields, The Park at Embrey Mill serves as a recreational center for the Stafford community allowing for an increase in athletic programs and participation.
