Market Heights Apartments in Norfolk, Virginia, is a 164-unit, 100% affordable LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit) multifamily community comprised of two buildings and one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments serving families earning 40%, 50%, and 60% AMI.

Market Heights Apartments offers various amenities for its residents, such as a community room, secure building access, elevators, a fitness center, a playground, on-site laundry, indoor and outdoor bicycle storage, and a dog park. The project was approved under the City of Norfolk’s new resiliency code mandating specific resilient measures that apply to flooding, energy efficiency, and building integrity.

Timmons Group worked with developer The Lawson Companies to provide full civil engineering, construction administration, and landscape architecture services for the $34 million community investment.
