Overview
Timmons Group assisted Greensville County in the evaluation of the vehicular and rail access requirements and water and wastewater support requirements related to a potential Automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) development on a 1545 ac. mega site located in Greensville County.
Key elements of this Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) include:
- Preliminary Site Layout Alternatives
- Environmental Constraints determination and Regulatory Agency assessment of reasonable impacts to Environmental and Cultural Resource elements identified and confirmed
- Evaluation of Water and Wastewater availability and required infrastructure to support development requiring 2 MGD demands
- Evaluation of Access requirements and close coordination with VDOT for general agreement on solutions
- Coordination with Rail provider to determine best rail access opportunities
Critical elements of project success:
- Interacted closely with the OEM site selection consultant to obtain site certification from a National site selection consultant
- Assist County with site information dissemination to VEDP
- Meet with VEDP and potential site users in the due diligence process
Timmons Group met all schedules in a timely manner whether compressed or otherwise, and supported the county throughout the process for a variety of ancillary services.
