Overview

In collaboration with The Community Builders, RRHA, and The City of Richmond, Timmons Group is providing civil engineering and consulting services for the redevelopment of Creighton Court as a mixed-income inclusive community within the City of Richmond. The redevelopment will continue the transformation of the East End of Richmond and will be the direct follow up to what was “built first” at Armstrong Renaissance across 9 Mile Road.

The redevelopment will transform the 504 existing public housing units into a vibrant community of up to 700 units offering different levels of affordability and living styles. Plans for the new community are guided by extensive input from residents and East End stakeholders and will include reconnecting the street grid to 9 Mile Road and other adjacent streets.

The new community will include single-family attached & detached dwellings, as well as small stacked flat and townhouse style apartments and larger corridor apartment buildings. Plans will include new public spaces, parks, playgrounds, and community buildings.

Timmons Group is providing civil engineering services for this project that included rezoning assistance for a Community Unit Plan (CUP), Environmental, Geotechnical and Survey services, Landscape Architecture, Subdivision Platting & Construction Plan preparation and permitting including road, alley, water, sewer, storm sewer, erosion control and stormwater management design. Timmons will also provide construction phase services such as Construction Administration and Construction Materials Testing (CMT).
