Overview
Timmons Group performed a laser scanning survey of the excavated area for the spillway design at the Rocky Penn Reservoir Project in Stafford County, Virginia. The survey was performed to capture the existing rock face of the excavated spillway area. This area is 150’ in height lying at a 2 to 1 slope. Laser scanning the irregular surface was the quickest, safest and most accurate way to collect the necessary field data used to generate the final survey of the spillway.
