Overview
The Orange County Broadband Authority, operating under the brand Fiberlync, has engaged Timmons Group to provide comprehensive Fiber Optic Construction Services. This project aims to expand the regional fiber network to connect unserved addresses in Orange County and certain locations in adjacent counties. The project is designed to deliver high-speed broadband services to residences and businesses through a phased network construction program.
Scope of Services: Timmons Group will provide a range of services , including:
- Fiber Optic Construction — Installation of conduit and cable using the most suitable and economical methods, as directed by Fiberlync. This includes direct plow, trench, excavation, boring, rock sawing, and other approved methods
- Permitting and Compliance — Obtaining necessary permits and ensuring all work complies with federal, state, and local regulations
- Quality Control — Implementing stringent quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship throughout the project
- Traffic Management — Developing and executing a detailed traffic management plan to minimize disruptions and ensure public safety during construction
- Environmental Protection — Installing and maintaining erosion control measures to protect environmentally sensitive areas
