Shawn is the Studio Director at Timmons Group’s Richmond office, bringing more than twenty years of experience across the design, education, and nonprofit sectors. Throughout his career, he has collaborated on nationally and internationally recognized projects with award-winning firms in Florida, Texas, Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Beijing, China. His work is grounded in a multidisciplinary design approach that integrates graphic communication, conceptual design, community visioning, urban design, master planning, and project management.
From concept through construction, Shawn partners closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-performing, visually compelling landscapes at every scale. He leads public and private projects with an emphasis on private commercial, retail, mixed-use, and residential work. He is deeply committed to fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration, guiding the studio through long-term planning and strategic initiatives, and mentoring the next generation of landscape architects and designers.
Shawn lives in Richmond, Virginia, with his husband, Scott. He enjoys traveling, exploring art, reading, cheering on the Clemson Tigers (and occasionally the Texas Longhorns), and kayaking on the James River.
