Overview
Located in Roanoke, Virginia, Smith Ridge Commons is a new affordable housing community designed to bring 216 one, two, and three-bedroom apartment units to the region through a multi-phase development. The community will help address the area’s growing need for safe and accessible housing while creating opportunities for long-term neighborhood investment.
In addition to a mix of residential buildings, Smith Ridge Commons will feature a clubhouse, landscaped open spaces, and community amenities including a playground and dog park. The first phase will deliver 72 units across multiple buildings, along with supporting infrastructure and parking, with future phases planned to complete the build-out.
Timmons Group is partnering with The Lawson Companies to provide comprehensive site and civil engineering services for the project. Our scope includes surveying, site planning, stormwater management, transportation design, utility coordination, and landscape architecture.
