Pawfice Perks: Celebrating Take Your Dog To Work Day and National Selfie Day!

Friday, June 23, marked one of the most paw-pular events on the Timmons Group calendar: Take Your Dog To Work Day (TYDTWD)! This year, we welcomed the best and brightest four-legged hires to our offices, and in a twist of fate, it also happened to be National Selfie Day. Naturally, we took the pup-ortunity to host a selfie contest to celebrate!

Don’t worry, they were paid handsomely in treats, belly rubs, and employee of the month nominations—the furry friends we mean. Let’s take a look at these photogenic office companions!

A husky wearing a neon green safety vest. A small white hard hat lays at his paws.

Katilyn in our Charlottesville office took TYDTWD very seriously and showed her pooch Jaspy the ropes. Jaspy said he has a few new ideas for our current dog park designs. 10/10 would trust his puppertise!

Two images side by side. On the left is a selfie of Jack with his dog. In the background two women wear inflatable dog costumes. On the right Jack poses with his dog. The dog wears an orange bandana around his neck in both.

Jack and Votto were photobombed by some new friends! In a little bit of confusion, Votto offered up some of his tasty treats, but they opted for the human-friendly lollipops instead. Votto doesn’t completely understand but accepts their decision either way.

Two dogs, a one brown one wearing a green bandana, and one white wearing a blue bandana sitting together in the Timmons Group office.

Maple and her new friend Ginny came dressed to impress, wearing matching bandanas for their TYDTWD selfie. What’s even more impressive is that they didn’t even use their paws for the photo! These are two seasoned selfie pros.

We’re taking this contest to Maryland with Dimmy and her two pups, Luna and Nelly. To the untrained eye, this may look like your ordinary hug… but if you look closely, you’ll see a blur of a tail wagging at record-breaking speed. We’ve confirmed that the speed of light comes second fastest to the wagging tail of a happy dog.

You know what they say, cuddling a puppy a day keeps the doctor away… or something like that. Here we have Ellie in our Charlotte office practicing her quiet typing technique so as not to disturb her very sleepy coworker, Linus.

Heather taking a selfie with her dog that wears a little suit and glasses. Next to them is a sign that states: "TIMMONS GROUP HIRING TOP DOGS!"

Heather and her top dog recruiter, Bronte, looked very dapper in their coordinated business formal suits ready to find top talent. Rumor has it Bronte has razor-sharp hiring instincts. If you pass the vibe check and bring treats, you’re in.

Drumroll please… last but not least, we have Matthew’s doggie, Maxwell Duke Evington, posing for the winning photo in our TYDTWD selfie contest! However, if you ask us, everyone’s a winner here.

Thanks for tail-wagging along for another Take Your Dog To Work Day celebration at Timmons Group! Having fun is a part of our culture and that means making room for our furry coworkers. Interested in joining a team that values great work and great dogs? Check out our current openings here and bring your furry friend along next year!
