National Work Zone Awareness Week is the perfect time to recognize the hardworking individuals who dedicate themselves to building and maintaining our roads! It`s crucial to prioritize safety while driving, especially in work zones.
Our teams are proud to “adopt” highways to promote safe travel for highway workers and citizens alike. Slow down, stay alert, and respect the cones! 🦺

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth at Touch-A-Truck last weekend, hosted by the @jl_raleigh! 🚚 The kids (and the parents) had a blast checking out our SUE truck and survey gear.
As proud sponsors of this event, we loved connecting with the community and giving everyone a hands-on look at what we do. Want to join a team that makes work just as exciting? We’re

Check out these progress photos from our recent site visit to the North Carolina Emergency Training Center (NC ETC) in Stanly County! 🏗️📷
Set to become one of the most advanced facilities of its kind in the nation, the NC ETC is a game-changer for emergency preparedness. It’s designed to train firefighters, emergency responders, and military personnel in real-world rescue scenarios.
Timmons Group is proud to support this mission alongside our design-build partners, providing civil engineering, survey, environmental, and geotechnical services. A special shoutout to our Charlotte team members Brian Crutchfield, Shannon Thompson, and Allison Culicerto, who are playing a key role in bringing the site to life.

No two weeks are the same for MaryKate Weaver, a landscape architect and horticulture specialist in our Richmond office. From tree assessments at the University of Richmond to planting designs for Brown`s Island and community meetings for the Bryan Park Fall Line Trail, her work is as dynamic as the landscapes she designs 🌱🌷🌳
MaryKate`s journey started with a love for plants and a science fair project called "Sprout it Out!" But it was a move to Puerto Rico, an island rich in landscape diversity, that deepened her passion for connecting people and nature.
One of her favorite projects? The Park at River City Sportsplex in Chesterfield, Virginia. "It was fun to incorporate my master`s thesis on `the importance of risk-taking in play for children` into a place my own kids will one day enjoy."
Her favorite local spot for inspiration is the James River. "Whenever I need a creative reset, I know a trip to the river will turn things around."
MaryKate`s top overlooked design tip: Design with maintenance in mind. Choose materials that last and plants that thrive—like natives!
