Timmons Group worked with Clachan Properties to renovate the historic Hawthorne Mill building located between Hawthorne Lane and Louise Avenue in Charlotte into an adaptive reuse project consisting of 149 multifamily apartments with associated parking and amenities. The site has a pool deck and recreation space for the residents as well as provide office space and potential retail space to make it a true Mixed Use Development. The building was approved for historic designation by the City of Charlotte and the State of North Carolina.
Timmons Group provided services including: master planning, site and civil engineering, landscape architecture, and surveying. The team also prepared a complete Site Development Plan package for the project consisting of a Site Demo Plan, Site Layout Plan, Utility Plan, Grading Plan, Landscape Plan, Erosion Control Plan, and Stormwater Management Plan for permitting through the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County.
