Overview
Timmons Group developed the Pathways for Planning tool for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) to be a tool for users to explore data and run analyses across multiple agencies and departments, gain insights into where and why projects should occur, and effectively plan a better transportation network. Pathways for Planning provides VDOT’s planners direct access to information to develop quality applications for statewide funding and ensure projects adhere to cohesive long-range multimodal transportation plan. Pathways for Planning contains data analytics capabilities to provide its users with data visualizations, pattern identification, trends and data insights on over 126 hosted geospatial datasets. Automated pipelines were developed to source these datasets within the Pathways for Planning application for viewing and deep analysis.
