Our DC office recently joined the Anacostia Watershed Society (@anacostiaws) for its 10th Anacostia River BioBlitz! 🌿🔎
During the event, our team explored the Anacostia River’s tidal marshes, documenting the flora and fauna they spotted along the way.
The annual event helps monitor how the area has developed since its 2003 reconstruction and tracks its progress as a sustainable environment supporting a variety of native species.

We`re excited to share that the Dix Park Accessibility Improvements project has been awarded a 2026 Sir Walter Raleigh Award for Community Appearance in the Public Facilities category! Presented by the City of Raleigh, the award recognizes outstanding contributions to the city`s character, environment, and appearance.
As part of the master plan adopted in 2019, Dix Park Conservancy and the City of Raleigh partnered with Timmons Group to improve accessibility throughout the 308-acre park. Our team provided civil engineering, landscape architecture, and surveying services for a range of ADA-focused improvements that help strengthen sitewide connectivity.
Accessible parking and crosswalks, sidewalk replacements, and pathway enhancements create a safer, more welcoming experience, helping people of all abilities enjoy one of Raleigh`s most significant public spaces.
