Bridge Design

The range of experience of our staff includes design of both steel and concrete bridge structures, simple span and continuous span structures, structures with complexities such as skew and curvature, and bridges with challenging geotechnical conditions. This experience includes design of fully integral, semi-integral, deck slab extension and conventional abutment types, as well as design of hammerhead, multi-column and wall type piers. Foundation design has ranged from shallow foundations to use of steel H-piles, drilled shafts, micropiles, and auger-cast piles as needed. Our design experience also includes both new bridges on greenfield sites as well as replacement bridge structure.
