Overview
Twelve agencies and localities in Colorado wanted to provide a single source for all designated public recreation trails and trailheads in and around the Boulder area. They desired to have a mobile app that allowed users to access real-time trail closures, offline maps, and information on their favorite trails.
Timmons Group developed the Boulder Area Trails App to provide users with an area-wide interactive mobile trail map application. The solution was developed on the Esri ArcGIS for Runtime SDK to support offline mapping and a rich user experience accessible on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.
The Boulder Area Trails App connects local communities, enables users to find trails by use or type, and plan routes. It also links users to agency websites for more information. The consolidation of data provides great value to citizens, tourists, and outdoor enthusiasts.
