Gene Hatcher specializes in Construction Services and Geotechnical Engineering and oversees the firm’s geotechnical, construction management and inspection services for various civil and building construction projects. His responsibilities include the oversight of engineers, inspectors and technicians, as well as business development and budget management. Gene has more than 30 years of experience in engineering, construction and public service, and has specific knowledge in the areas of civil construction, building construction, and construction contracts and administration. His areas of expertise include Owner’s Rep Services, Cost Estimating, Risk Management and Expert Testimonial Services. Prior to joining Timmons Group 24 years ago, Gene served as the Public Works Director for the Town of Ashland, Virginia.
Gene lives in Powhatan County with his wife, Ann, and has three grown sons and six grandchildren. He enjoys working in his church and was recently elected Elder. His hobbies include fishing and golf, and he especially enjoys cheering on the Hokies, Red Sox and Redskins.
