Chairman of the Board, Director of Public Land Development

Dave Lucado, Chairman of the Board at Timmons Group, has more than 25 years of experience with the management and design of commercial, local government and institutional facilities.  Early in Dave’s career at Timmons Group, he developed the firm’s practice in the planning and design of educational facilities. Since he was named President and CEO of Timmons Group in 1999, the firm has sustained steady and prosperous growth. During his tenure as President, Dave established Timmons Group as a values-based organization and continues to be the standard bearer for the firm’s mission and values, as well as the primary steward of its unique culture and invaluable client relationships.

While continuing in the role of Chairman of the Board, Dave recently assumed leadership of the Public Land Development Division, which includes the firm’s practices in Federal and Local government, higher education, K-12 education and healthcare. He also oversees the firm’s practices in North Carolina, Northern Virginia and Charlottesville.

Dave lives in Midlothian with his wife, Ellen. They have two grown sons, Coleman and Alex.  Dave is a 2001 graduate of Leadership Metro Richmond and is active in the local business community. He enjoys the Richmond music scene and recently finished a 12-year gig with a local funk band. He has a passion for international travel and cuisine.
