Craig Kotarski, PE, LEED AP

Craig has over a decade of experience working closely with project teams to deliver engineering and design documents that meet project requirements. As a Principal in Timmons Group’s Charlottesville office, Craig is involved in projects from concept design to construction administration, having been involved with new and addition/renovation projects for healthcare, K-12, higher education, municipal, residential, and commercial clients.

Craig lives in Charlottesville, VA and enjoys spending time with his wife, Kim and three girls, Camryn, Kiley, and Kacey.  He enjoys time being involved with his community, volunteering, as well as getting to the gym and attending live concerts.

  • Music you are currently listening to? It’s a mixed bag, but typically includes a lot of country music (Dierks Bentley, Punch Brothers, Turnpike Troubadors, etc.)  and instrumental (Explosions in the Sky, Tycho, etc.).
  • Dream vacation? Traveling through Italy, experiencing its coast, wine, art and architecture!
  • A favorite project you’ve worked on? Transitional Care Hospital at UVA and Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, as they both represent key “first” moments in my career.
  • Something about you many people don’t know? I almost changed my major to architecture during my last year at UVA.
  • Favorite meal is? Fried Chicken and Waffles
