Chris Kiefer, PE

Chris Kiefer specializes in Transportation and has more than 20 years of experience with all aspects of transportation planning and the design of primary, secondary and local roadways. As the firm’s primary transportation consultant to both public and private clients, he is an expert regarding Virginia DOT guidelines and procedures, utility coordination and myriad funding regulations and sources. From new two-lane and four-lane roadway projects, to the widening of existing busy urban corridors, to complex interchange modifications and limited access highway designs, Chris and the Transportation team have designed projects in a wide variety of situations.  He has been involved with many locally administered municipal projects, as well as several design-build projects.

Chris lives in Midlothian with his wife and high school sweetheart, Roxann, and four children, Charlie, Brick, Jack and Caroline. Chris is active in the community and has served on several local boards including the Huguenot Little League Board of Directors, Notre Dame Club of Richmond Board, Benedictine High School Alumni Board and the St. Edward’s Epiphany School Board. He enjoys coaching several of his children’s youth sports, including soccer, baseball, basketball and lacrosse.
