Chris Dodson, PWS

Chris Dodson leads Timmons Group’s Field Operations Division, which includes environmental services, land surveying, geotechnical engineering and testing and construction services.

Chris’ background is in environmental consulting, and his expertise includes Environmental Constraint Analyses, Wetland Delineations, Stream Assessments, Section 401/404 Permitting and Regulatory Compliance. Chris has performed and managed countless wetland delineation and stream assessment projects and has successfully negotiated general and individual permit approvals on a wide range of public, private and Federal projects. Chris is also experienced with wetland, stream and riparian buffer restoration design and construction. He has designed several such projects and provided on-site supervision to ensure proper construction.

Chris resides in Chesterfield County with his wife, Amy, and their children, son, Dexter, and daughter, Taylor.

  • Where did you grow up?  I grew up in Historic Hilton Village in Newport News
  • Favorite restaurant? Pescados (Midlothian)
  • Favorite outdoor activity? Golf, fishing, travel, camping, and pretty much anything outdoors with the kids
  • Favorite sports team?  Don’t really have a favorite.  I Like sports in general.  I Have followed the Redskins and Orioles since I was a kid.  Played just about every sport at some point competitively.
  • Words you live by? Peace…it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work.  It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.
