Overview
This application provides the capability to view tree canopy in urban areas and in future population growth areas. Knowing existing urban tree canopy (UTC) and understanding how the canopy is expected to change over time allows resource managers to set goals and tree canopy cover targets to reach those goals. Trees provide many benefits to citizens living in an urban area such as reducing flooding, noise pollution, and global warming, while providing natural habitat for certain species.
