Project Summary
Timmons Group is working with the project architect, Odell Associates, on this project for the University of Virginia Foundation. The project involves a new Outpatient Surgery Center/Outpatient Children’s Hospital Clinics of approximately 185,000 square feet to be located between West Main Street, the new 11th Street Garage and Jefferson Park Avenue.
Civil engineering services include design of the building’s drop off/plaza, utilities, and grading and drainage plans. Construction administration services will also be provided. The project is expected to be complete in Spring 2014.
Project Highlights
Highlights of the project include off site utility planning, design and construction administration. Water line design will require bringing chilled water and domestic water to the site from the existing lines via new lines to be jack and bored under the existing CSX railroad tracks.
Timmons Group submitted the offsite site utilities design to CSX for approval and construction was completed Winter 2011.
