Overview
Timmons Group holds an annual services agreement with Henrico County. Under this contract, construction was recently completed for the Lake Henning Sediment Forebay project. There is an existing lake known as Lake Henning located at the Henrico County Government Center off of Parham Road. Due to sediment loads from the upstream watershed, the County annually dredges the lake to prevent undesirable sediment accumulation. It was the County’s desire to construct a sediment forebay upstream of the existing lake to allow more efficient and economic sediment removal and to prevent sediment from entering the larger areas of the lake that are more difficult to dredge.
