Project Summary
In support of a mixed-use commercial and residential development on this 90 acre site, the client contracted Timmons Group to coordinate the environmental permitting for stream and wetland impacts. Activities included identification and evaluation of onsite and offsite stream and wetland mitigation opportunities. Working closely with the US Army Corps of Engineers and the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, our professionals negotiated alternative designs and coordinated field assessments for restoration design applications, as well as prepared permit applications for infrastructure, transportation, and development impacts on the site. The project mitigation solutions included a combination of onsite restoration and offsite banking compensation.
