Eastern Goochland Wastewater Pump Station

Project Summary

Timmons Group provided design, bid and construction administration services for the Eastern Goochland Wastewater Pump Station and Force Main. This ultimate 33 MGD wastewater pump station was constructed with an initial capacity of 20 MGD. The initial installation included dual influent channel grinders, three 450 horsepower drypit submersible pumps, motors, and drives, and a 1500 kW generator. Ultimate installation will add three additional pumps and a second generator. The wet-pit / dry-pit station is approximately 41 feet deep from the main floor to the top of the base slab. The substructure is 6,100 square feet, the main floor is 8,900 square feet, and a 1,400 square foot upper level office space is also included. Associated site work includes an influent junction chamber, 100 feet of 48" gravity sewer, approximately 50,000 feet of 48" force main, 500 feet of 12" waterline, and 250 feet of 8" waterline. Timmons Group provided a preliminary engineering report, construction documents, bid and construction administration assistance and record drawings.
