Overview

The City of North Miami Beach contracted with Timmons Group in early March of 2016 to attempt the impossible. The City’s licensing agreement with Hansen was expiring on May 21, 2016, and their Cityworks Asset Management System (AMS) had to be live prior to this date.

Timmons Group delivered a phased implementation of Cityworks Server AMS 2015 including the implementation of Cityworks Storeroom, and integration with City’s sanitary sewer CCTV system. The implementation of Cityworks Server AMS included the following functional groups: NMB Water (Utilities), Public Works and Customer Service.

The first phase consisted of project management activities necessary to ensure success of the project. Phase 2 included service request configuration, work order configuration, inspection configuration and Storeroom configuration for the City’s Water (Utilities), Public Works and Customer Service functional. The second phase also included a gap analysis of the City’s GIS, multiple workshops that defined The City of North Miami Beach’s current and future workflows, configuration of Cityworks Server AMS in the City’s environment, comprehensive training and support. Phase 3 was devoted for tasks deemed not critical to continue operations beyond the termination of Hansen on May 21, 2016, which included the integration of the existing CCTV software application to Cityworks. Report development, report migration, and support were also included in phase 3.

Timmons Group not only met this aggressive deadline, but had the Cityworks system ready for production ahead of schedule.
