Director of Advanced Technologies
Lowell Ballard has been working in the Geospatial industry for more than 15 years, consulting to both public and Fortune 200 private clients across numerous vertical markets including natural resources, economic development, transportation, utilities, public safety and land records. He is recognized as an industry expert in the integration of Geospatial and traditional Information Technologies and has been profiled by ESRI as an industry expert in ArcGIS Server Technologies. Most recently, Ballard was asked to deliver the ESRI message during the initial roll-out and as part of follow-on rolling road shows.
A regular speaker on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), geospatial ROI and the benefits of spatial integration, the work performed by Ballard’s team has received both national and international recognition including NASCIO awards and the opportunity to be profiled during the ESRI plenary session at the annual International User’s Conference.
Ballard received his B.S. in Management Information Systems and Computer Science from Radford University in Virginia in 1989. He received his master’s degree in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University where he focused on the effects of land use on stream population dynamics. |
