Principal, Geotechnical Engineering & Construction Services
Gene Hatcher has over 25 years of experience and currently oversees
two divisions consisting of Geotechnical
Engineering and Construction Services. His expertise is in Construction Management, which
primarily consists of administering and inspecting residential, commercial
and municipal projects for the firm. Other areas of expertise include
cost estimating, property evaluations, construction conflict resolution
and expert testimonial services. He also performs quality control
reviews of the plans and specifications generated by the company.
Hatcher was graduated from VA Tech in 1977 where he received his BS
in Civil Engineering. Shortly thereafter, Hatcher became a licensed
professional engineer within the State of Virginia.
Prior to joining Timmons Group, Mr. Hatcher was Director of Public Works
for the Town of Ashland, Virginia, where he was responsible for the operation
and maintenance of the town’s streets, utilities, parks and water
and wastewater treatment facilities. His role included budgeting,
scheduling, estimating and the contract administration of capital improvement
projects. |
