Dave Lucado, PE

Dave Lucado, Chairman of the Board of Timmons Group, has over 25 years of experience with the management and design of commercial, local government and institutional facilities.  Early in his career at Timmons Group, Lucado developed the firm’s practice in the planning and design of educational facilities.  In 1999, he was named President and CEO of Timmons Group and the firm has sustained steady and prosperous growth under his leadership.  During his tenure as President, he has established Timmons Group as a values-based organization and remains the champion for the firm’s Mission & Values.

Most recently, Lucado assumed the position of Chairman of the Board where he focuses on the long term strategies and cultural development of the firm.  He continues to be the standard bearer for the firm’s Mission & Values and the primary steward of its unique culture and invaluable client relationships.

Lucado attended Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, where he received a BS in Civil Engineering in 1978 and went on to earn his MBA from the University of Richmond in 1996.  He is a licensed professional engineer in Virginia, Texas and California and is an active member of professional organizations including The American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Council of Engineering Companies, and the Richmond Real Estate Group.  He is also active in the local business community and is a 2001 graduate of Leadership Metro Richmond.
