Timmons Group Announces New Shareholders

Richmond, VA – January 20, 2021 – Timmons Group is pleased to announce the newest shareholders of the firm: Robert Gonzalez, PE, PMP; Chris Petree, PE, DBIA; Amelia Wehunt, PE; and Chris Todd, PE.

Robert Gonzalez, PE, PMP is the head of the Timmons Group Dallas office and leader of the Timmons Group Renewables practice in both Dallas and Richmond. Robert started his career at Timmons Group in August 2017. His engineering background was originally in Land Development and Construction before shifting to Renewable Energy. Robert has grown the Dallas office from 2 to 15 staff members and he also oversees the 14 staff members in the Timmons Group Richmond Renewable Energy practice.

Chris Petree, PE, DBIA leads the Timmons Group North Carolina Water and Wastewater practice from the Raleigh office. Chris has been at Timmons Group for over 12 years and has focused on the planning, evaluation, and design of public and private water and wastewater infrastructure. He is experienced in water and wastewater treatment, storage, pumping, transmission, and hydraulic modeling. Chris has a long resume of fast-paced utility projects for both public and private clients, utilizing both traditional and design-build project delivery methods.

Amelia Wehunt, PE is the leader of the Timmons Group Urban Planning and Design practice. She specializes in urban infill and redevelopment projects and neighborhood improvement projects, as well as stormwater management design and compliance. Much of her work, outside of designing and preparing construction plans, involves stakeholder coordination and work sessions, representation at public meetings, and providing construction support services.

Chris Todd, PE leads the Residential practice in the Timmons Group Charlotte office as a Senior Project Manager. Chris has successfully built an 8-person team that works with many of the well-known national home builders in the Charlotte market, and he has worked on hundreds of residential projects throughout his 20-year career. His years of expertise with municipalities and private developers across the Carolinas have resulted in guiding clients and stakeholders toward creative, efficient, and fiscally responsive design solutions.
