Picture This: Enon Elementary School Replacement

Known locally as the “school on the hill,” Enon Elementary School is a replacement of an aging school facility in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The new school was completed in just 16 months and received its first students returning from holiday break in January 2019.

Designed to serve 750 students across 91,000 square feet, the building is located on a 13-acre property. The new school was located on this particular site to ensure this important community gathering place remained atop its prominent hill.

The entire site was redesigned to ensure current school programming needs were met. These included multiple playgrounds for a variety of ages, a softball field, paved play areas, and a multipurpose field. A new bus loop, a parent drop-off, and staff/visitor parking with 141 spaces were also designed to provide safe site circulation for parents, students, and staff.

Timmons Group worked with RRMM Architects and provided all site/civil engineering, survey, landscape, environmental investigations, and construction administration services.
