INTRODUCING :: Timmons Group’s Transportation Team
February 28, 2017
A blog series providing an inside look into the everyday lives, work and culture of various departments and offices within our firm.
Say hello to members of our Transportation Team.
This is them smiling after their monthly infrastructure lunch that included homemade grilled cheese sandwiches and soups.
These gals and guys are a hard working bunch that have a big impact on our community. They design infrastructure networks, including traffic engineering, roadway design, and multimodal planning, that provide safe and convenient access to local communities. They also love to eat.
Here they are a few days later eating cake to celebrate February birthdays:
Just getting the proper fuel to keep them energized and alert for field work. Here is Tyler and Greg from our group completing guardrail inspection in the Staunton district.
This team includes the minds and designs behind projects you are likely familiar with. For example:
Woolridge Road across the Swift Creek Reservoir
Adjustments to the street network surrounding Gateway Plaza
And, the Virginia Capital Trail
***Did you know?
We’ve added a bridge and structures practice to our infrastructure division. Hired to lead the practice is Gary Johnson, PE, a licensed engineer with over 22 years of experience providing project management, design and construction inspection services for structures and roadways.
