The purpose of this walking route series is to provide our community with the resources to simply get outside and explore unique areas and neighborhoods.  With park closures and playground closures occurring due to safety precautions, there are still plenty of entertaining walking routes within our Cities that incorporate nature, stunning architecture, historic monuments and scenic blooms.

This walking route in Raleigh, NC is a favorite amongst a few folks in our office and it is perfect for walking or running. This route begins at the NC Museum of Art, where there is abundant free parking, and takes you through the Capital Area Greenway System. 1. NC Museum of Art
The NCMA’s sculpture park is where this route begins. A local favorite for photo opportunities, this area is great to visit regularly as the exhibits change. This route is a part of the Museum’s Art to Heart, which is a corridor connection from the park to Downtown Raleigh through scenic trails and sculpture.

Stop 2. Meredith College
Meredith College is a small, private liberal arts college and graduate school located along the Capital Area Greenway Trail. This walking route provides only a glimpse of campus, but if you have some extra time or packed a picnic lunch, this is a great place to stop or detour through to admire the architecture and landscape.
