Overview
Cambria at Cornerstone is an award-winning residential community in Virginia Beach developed by the Breeden Company. The Landscape Architecture team at Timmons Group designed a landscape plan concurrent with the architect’s design of the buildings, resulting in a visually coherent site with strong connectivity between residences and several amenity spaces. Timmons Group devised program-specific areas that support the vision of an active community in a neighborhood-like setting.
Ranging from a quiet and contemplative outdoor Reading Room to a stunning pool and courtyard to a successful community garden, these spaces meet the diverse social and recreational needs of the Cornerstone residents, and encourage gathering and outdoor living. Timmons Group interspersed elements of surprise and beauty throughout the landscape. Fountains, reading nooks, cozy outdoor fireplaces, and lush plantings form enticing destinations and a visually stimulating backdrop to community life.
