Timmons Group and Sustainable Design Consulting to Present at Virginia Society AIA Architecture Exchange East 2005 Conference

Richmond, Virginia – November 2, 2005-Timmons Group, a civil engineering design leader, and Sustainable Design Consulting, a green building and architectural design firm, have joined forces to present on the relationship between green building, architecture, environmentally sensitive site design and intelligent community planning, taking place November 4, 2005, at the Virginia Society of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) 2005 Architecture Exchange East (For conference details go to: www.ArchEx.net).

Timmons Group will have three senior consultants presenting at this week’s AIA Architecture Exchange conference, to be held at the downtown Greater Richmond (Virginia) Convention Center. Chris Earley is a LEED® Accredited Professional and Timmons Group’s in-house expert in the area of environmentally-sensitive engineering. Steve Hostetler, PE, Principal, is a member of the US Green Building Council. He has overseen civil site design for the first elementary school and the second K-12 school facility on the East Coast to register with the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Building Rating System. Andrew Gould, PE, is a practitioner of Low Impact Development (LID) technologies and head of the Stormwater Division at Timmons Group.

Sustainable Design Consulting offers an alternative to conventional building plans. With offices in Richmond, Virginia, and Washington, DC, Sustainable Design Consulting is committed to creating environmentally-sensitive structures and settings using green building technology. Presenting for Sustainable Design Consulting will be Sandra Leibowitz Earley, RA, LEED® AP. Leibowitz Earley has advanced experience offering sustainable design strategies to serve developers, architects and builders with expert green building/LEED® consulting and process management. In total, Leibowitz Earley has worked on over 70 green building projects, including more than 60 LEED®-related projects.
