FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Timmons Group Awarded Design-Build Contract for Cottages, Recreational Vehicle Park and Ancillary Facilities at the Yorktown Naval Weapons Station’s Cheatham Annex Richmond, VA – October 16, 2009 –Timmons Group, an ENR 500 Design Firm and a leader in civil engineering and professional consulting services,announced today that the firm will be providing civil engineering, survey confirmation and landscape architecture services under a $6.1 million design-build contract with the US Army Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) Command’s Major Projects Division. As a subconsultant to the contractor, W.M. Jordan, Timmons Group will also oversee the architectural efforts of PMA Planners and Architects. Timmons Group will provide site civil design, lighting, wayfinding for vehicular traffic and landscape architecture services in accordance with all local, state and Federal regulatory requirements.
