Timmons Group Bolsters Hampton Roads Engineering Practice With Strategic Management Hires

Richmond, VA – September 3, 2008 – Timmons Group, an ENR 500 Design Firm and a leader in multi-discipline civil engineering consulting services, announced today that the firm has hired Chris Parker, PE, and Forrest Robertson, PE, as Engineering Managers in the firm’s Hampton Roads office, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

The additional investment in our engineering practice there represents an ongoing commitment to the clients we serve throughout the region,” said Brian F. Forrest Robertson, PE, brings 22 years of experience in the management and design of a wide variety of infrastructure and capital improvement projects.  At Timmons Group, he will lead public infrastructure projects such as water and wastewater systems evaluation and design, environmental engineering and stormwater management.  Robertson was most recently a Senior Project Manager with Michael Baker Jr., Inc.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Old Dominion University and is the Past President of the Engineers Club of Hampton Roads.

Chris Parker, PE, brings almost 10 years of experience managing land development and roadway design projects for a variety of public and private clients.  At Timmons Group, he will lead both private and public sector projects involving site civil engineering and transportation design services.  Parker was most recently a Project Manager with Kimley-Horn and Associates.  He holds a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida and a Bachelors of Science in Marine Transportation Management from Maine Maritime Academy.
