Timmons Group to Provide Civil Engineering Services for The Outlet Shoppes at Richmond and the Redevelopment of Beaufont Mall

Richmond, VA – July 24, 2008 – Timmons Group, an ENR 500 Design Firm and a leader in civil engineering consulting services, announced today that the firm has recently been awarded two new contracts for projects in the Richmond, Virginia metropolitan area.

“The Outlet Shoppes at Richmond” will accommodate approximately 365,000 square feet of tenant space with over 90 shops in the first phase of development.  The site is located just north of Richmond in Hanover County at the I-95/Lewistown interchange and will be adjacent to the Bass Pro Shops opening this fall. Timmons Group will be providing civil engineering services for the joint partnership between Holladay Properties and Horizon Group Properties, Inc. Design documents for the Outlet Shoppes will be submitted later this year with a slated opening of fall 2009.

“Spring Rock Green” is a redevelopment project situated in the northeast quadrant of Midlothian Turnpike in Chesterfield County at the site of the current Beaufont Mall.  Plans are to accommodate a total capacity of over 440,000 square feet of retail/office space located on 47 acres of property. Timmons Group is providing the Bond Companies with civil engineering services and will be incorporating sustainable design services in order to obtain Silver LEED® Certification for the project.  Design documents are underway for some transportation elements with anticipation of site improvements to be completed by the fall of 2009.
