Timmons Group Hires Kirk McClurkin as Senior Project Manager, Technology Services

Richmond, VA – Timmons Group, an award-winning and industry-leading engineering and geospatial consultant headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, recently hired Kirk McClurkin as a Senior Project Manager. McClurkin will spearhead the opening of a new Timmons Group office for the Technology Services sector in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area.

McClurkin, a Professional Land Surveyor, is a recognized industry expert in geospatial solutions with experience in geographic information systems (GIS), information technology, asset management, surveying/global positioning systems (GPS), transportation, utility and public works services. McClurkin will support the Infrastructure Solutions Group within the Technology Services sector of Timmons Group. McClurkin will be managing projects for private and public clients throughout the East Coast as well as focusing on strategic growth in the firm’s Technology Services sector.

McClurkin, a native of Virginia Beach, has over nine years of industry experience and has worked throughout the nation on a wide range of projects integrating IT, GIS and GPS technologies for municipal, private and federal entities. McClurkin earned a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Resource Management at Clemson University. McClurkin has also served as a visiting lecturer for Clemson University and Greenville Technical College, both in South Carolina.
