Richmond, VA – Timmons Group, an award-winning and industry-leading engineering and geospatial consultant headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, recently hired Mike Hall as a Geotechnical Group Leader.

Hall brings over 17 years of geotechnical expertise to the firm and will be responsible for conducting and overseeing the firm’s Geotechnical Engineering Services Group. His duties will include supervising project scheduling, conducting and overseeing field investigations, assigning project tasks, conducting a variety of geotechnical and pavement analyses and preparing geotechnical reports.

Hall comes to Timmons Group from the Structure and Bridge Division at VDOT where he spent twelve years working in the Geotechnical Engineering Section. While at VDOT, Hall gained extensive knowledge of bridge foundation and retaining wall design.

Hall graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in Civil Engineering. He will receive his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Idaho this fall.
