Timmons Group’s Joe Hines a Member of 2008 LEAD VIRGINIA Class

Richmond, VA – May 2, 2008 – Timmons Group, an ENR 500 Design Firm and a leader in multi-discipline civil engineering consulting services, is pleased to announce that Joe Hines is a member of the 2008 LEAD VIRGINIA class.

LEAD VIRGINIA is a statewide leadership program started in 2005 for the purpose of educating Virginia’s leaders about the issues most relevant to the Commonwealth. The 44 class participants in this year’s class are senior-level executives in business, education, non-profit and government agencies throughout the Commonwealth. They are experienced, recognized leaders within their professions who are seeking to bolster a shared vision of progressive change through active community involvement across Virginia.

Hines is Group Leader of Timmons Group’s Economic Development group, which specializes in providing assistance to local governments with the master planning, site programming and infrastructure development for several business parks and mega-sites located throughout the Commonwealth.

Tim Davey, a Principal at Timmons Group, was a member of the 2007 LEAD Virginia class. Tim wished Joe well stating, “LEAD Virginia was a wonderful experience for me both professionally and personally. Joe will be a great ambassador from Timmons Group to the 2009 class. I’m sure he will enjoy the experience as well as I did.”

A graduate of the Duke University Fuqua School of Business with an MBA and NC State University with a BS in Civil Engineering, Hines has been with Timmons Group for over five years. He is currently lead project manager for several economic development and infrastructure projects around the Commonwealth, including the development of the Rolls-Royce aircraft engine facility in Prince George County, the James River Water Project in Fluvanna and Louisa Counties, and the Turner Tract & Courtland Infrastructure development in Southampton County.
