Timmons Group Puts Public Maps and Real Property Information on the Web for Warren County, Virginia

Warren County, VA – Warren County’s public maps and real estate parcel information are now available online at http://www.warrengis.org. The County’s map data were updated and an interactive web map application was developed by Timmons Group, a geographic information system (GIS) consulting firm based in Richmond, VA. Timmons Group is also hosting the web site for the County.

The web mapping site provides convenient access to color aerial photography and shaded relief (topography) for the entire county. These images can be overlain by county boundaries for land parcels, zoning, fire and rescue districts, school districts, voting precincts, and election districts. Additional maps layers for transportation, rivers, lakes, flood zones, fire hydrants, and utilities can also be displayed. The web site allows users to easily locate a land parcel on the map, and then display real estate assessment information for that parcel.

According to Warren County Administrator and Planning Director Doug Stanley, “By having parcel information online, citizens will easily be able to retrieve information that we currently have to assist them with. This system will make it more convenient for the citizen while saving staff time and resources. Individuals can access information regarding their property or other properties in the County including property and improvement value, zoning, school districts, floodplains, etc.” Timmons Group is proud to be working with Warren County to provide this valuable and convenient service to the public.
