April 23, 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE For more information contact: Timmons Group’s Steve Hostetler Named to Virginia Educational Facility Planners Board of Directors Richmond, VA – April 23, 2007 –Timmons Group is pleased to congratulate Managing Principal Stephen D. Hostetler, PE, on being elected to the Virginia chapter of The Council of Educational Facility Planners, International (CEFPI) Board of Directors at their February 26-27, 2007 annual meeting in Roanoke, Virginia. The Virginia Educational Facility Planners (VEFP) mission is to promote creative and responsible planning of school facilities, to foster professional development and to exchange best practice knowledge of Virginia school facilities to provide the best possible learning environment for all students. The membership of this organization includes school system facility managers, design professionals, suppliers and others. The VEFP organization was initially was formed as an independent organization in 1996, but in 1998 became a state chapter of The CEFPI. Mr. Hostetler is a Principal in Timmons Group’s Site Development division. He is responsible for all educational facility projects, which includes management and coordination from inception of a preliminary plan to certification of construction completion. His expertise relates to all phases of project planning, design and feasibility. Mr. Hostetler received his BS in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1988. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Virginia and North Carolina. In addition to being a member of The CEFPI and VEFP, he is a Recognized Educational Facility Planner with over 18 years of experience. Mr. Hostetler has extensive experience with sustainable design having designed numerous projects incorporating sustainable design techniques, from simple enhanced stormwater management up to a LEED® Gold certified project.
